TandyNow pin down to a flat surf and let it cure out 4-5 days before useMikeI received the above e-mail from Mike concerning rudder surface warping. I checked the rudder surface for warps after the first coat of dope had dried and there was none yet. So I put a second coat of 50/50 dope on the rudder and let it dry to the touch for about 30 minutes. I placed the doped rudder on a piece of wax paper and folded the wax paper over on top of the rudder. I placed 1/8" sheet balsa on either end of the 1/8" thick rudder and placed four 1/4" square spruce strips on the top layer of wax paper as shown below. Notice the second strip from the top is resting over the rudder's main spar.Then I place a piece of sheet spruce on top of the four strips and weighted the whole thing down with two square steel block as shown below. I will leave this for five days while the two coats of dope on the yellow tissue cure out as Mike suggested....................Tandy
