I finally got back to working on the J-3 Cub this
week. It seems like I have had one interruption after another day after day
here lately. Of course it is that time of the year for holiday decorating,
shopping, and Christmas parties, not to mention the day to day "grunt" it
takes to keep a home running. And then there is also the endless doctor's
appointments and medical tests. I'll swear, a fellow can hardly get a thing
done on his models. However, I have managed to get the two J-3 wings covered
with yellow tissue and two coats of dope put on. I struggled like the
devil to get top covering out at the tip smooth and straight. However, I did
end up with a couple of small wrinkles (puckers), but the grand scheme of
things they won't matter. If this model turns out well, I may go back later
on and cut out and recover these areas. I decided to show you the two
covered wings plugged (not glued)
into the fuselage along with the tail. The pictures below are self
explanatory..............Tandy
