Today I finished putting on the third coat of
clear dope on the Fuselage's Polyspan Lite first covering. I will let this
dry overnight before I do a final sanding with 600 paper in preparation for
the second covering of orange silk tomorrow afternoon. I got out the
remainder of the 3' X 9' piece of orange silk and placed it on the work
table as shown below. This remaining piece measures 36" X 58" as shown
below. I am going to have to take care in the way I cut this silk up or I
will not have enough.
The picture below shows the layout plan I made
for cutting up the single large piece of orange silk. This layout shows me
that I will have just enough orange silk to do the complete job with very
little to spare.....................Tandy
